SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
One of the most important activities of the BOREKO Society is social responsibility. Entertaining and tearing our audience away from the everyday problems can be considered as a success. Making people laugh and giving them joyful moments is a huge challenge for us. The success and positive feedback of the past few years means a lot for the whole membership.
The other important part of our society, the sports club, also gives happy moments to a lot of people and helps in staying healthy.
Trees are our faithful companions on every continent. If needed, they provide warmth; if needed, they offer cooling shade or shield us from the storm. Sometimes they rustle with discontent, and sometimes they just gently nod toward us, but they are always permeated by tranquility and harmony…
Wherever you live on this planet, hug a tree and share the picture, expressing that you are one among the billions of people whose common and eternal desire is the only condition truly worthy of us, which is called: PEACE!

Estonian study tour
It was a huge honour for our Association that Robin Bodnár, President, upon the invitation of Acting Communities, representing our Association, attended a study tour in Estonia. One of the primary goals of the BOREKO Association is to support disadvantaged people, particularly children, and to discover and sponsor young talent. In 2025, we shifted into an even higher gear, aiming to develop and implement a unique pilot model by leveraging our international relations. We are greatly assisted in this endeavor by grant expert Ica Egri, with whom we are bound to bring our plans to success.

THE HIEROTHEOSZ ASSOCIATION ORGANIZED A TRAINING SESSION ON CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND VOLUNTEERING
April 14, 2023
“As a speaker, Robin Bodnár, President of the BOREKO Association, emphasized the importance of volunteering, self-awareness, interpersonal understanding, and selfless assistance…”
In 2021, the BOREKO Association signed a grant agreement with the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) – Directorate for Social Relations to implement our program aimed at the integration and advancement of disadvantaged youth living in our region. Since these children come from Roma families facing extremely difficult circumstances and have special educational needs, providing them with a specialized, human-centered education is of paramount importance.
The primary focus of the training, carried out using the funds provided by the MNB, was development tailored to their special needs and more modest abilities. Our instructors possess several decades of experience, ensuring that the children’s culture was kept in mind and their identity was fully respected throughout the program.
We took the children to the 2022 European Men’s Handball Championship as a prominent sporting event, as sports represent one of our Association’s priority areas, and our mission is to introduce children to and foster a love for various sporting disciplines. Looking back, we can firmly state that taking the children involved in the training was an excellent idea, as several of them, despite being teenagers, had never left Hajdúdorog and its surrounding area before.

Our cooperating partner is organizing a camp!
It will be held in Hajdúdorog, and there are still vacancies available. We highly recommend it to everyone!!!

In light of the wave of refugees caused by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the members of our Association immediately joined forces to help those forced to flee to Hungary. We collected clothes, shoes, and blankets, and purchased non-perishable food items for them.
Borbála Zsófia Gonda, the Head of our Association’s Social and Community Affairs Directorate, and Department Head János Kurczina coordinated the collection and the successful delivery of the supplies.
Let’s Help Each Other!!!

Within its talent management program, the BOREKO Association is a supporter of the online integration and remedial program for multiply disadvantaged students.

Ági Nagy is now a recognized artist in Poland as well! She is far away from us, “yet so close”….
